My role at MK is Product Manager, which means I get to have, and implement my vision into MK products. I also make sure that our products are developed carefully, correctly, and follow best practices.

How did you find out about MK Decision and what drew you to the company initially?

I found out about MK decision through a coding bootcamp at LEARN Academy, who offered an internship as part of their program. I decided to join MK's TFE program as it aligned with my previous employment background in finance. My ultimate career goal is to help develop software solutions for smaller banks and credit unions.

What motivates you to get up and go to work?

What motivates me to get up and go to work everyday is knowing that I'm helping create products that will make bankers’ lives easier. Working in finance, I had previously dealt with unintuitive software and I thought to myself “How cool would it be create better software for banks and credit unions that do not have the resources to develop their own software.” Knowing that I'm a part of the solution keeps me going.

How would you describe the culture at MK?

Everyone is ready to work proactively and are humble people.

How has MK Decision helped you in your career development?

MK has given me the opportunity to break into the FinTech industry. MK took a chance on me and I'm really grateful for that.

What has been your favorite project while working with MK Decision?

My favorite project would have to be the dashboard. I can use my previous experience as a banker to develop a product that is intuitive for other bankers. I now get to be a part of the solution and address all of the frustrations I had with banking software in the past.

How do you like to balance your life at home and life at work?

I enjoy playing video games, soccer, trying out new vegan recipes, and checking out new breweries in San Diego.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I speak four languages - English, Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language!

What advice do you have for prospective MK candidates?

Be proactive. Always try to find a solution to any problem that you see, and make yourself indispensable to the company.
