What is your role at MK?

Business Analyst

How did you find out about MK Decision and what drew you to the company initially?

I was introduced to MK Decision through my coding boot-camp LEARN. Because of my accounting background, MK provided a place to combine my previous knowledge with my new coding skills.

What motivates you to get up and go to work?

I work with a great team of people. This place is run with fun, driven people. I also love to help build something greater than I could achieve on my own.

How would you describe the culture at MK?

MK is full of young professionals who are incredibly respectful of each others ideas and contributions. It is genuinely a pleasure to collaborate with kind, intelligent people.

How has MK Decision helped you in your career development?

MK has given me the opportunity to wear multiple hats and to see the world of technology from many different angles. I am definitely not pigeonholed into one task.

What has been your favorite project while working with MK Decision?

My favorite project has been our Fraudtrack service. I got to experience the world of big data first hand and began an algorithm to sift through applications looking for fraud. I hope this service saves a lot of people from becoming victims of identity theft.

How do you like to balance your life at home and life at work?

When I'm not at work, I am probably watching or reading about baseball and keeping up with the New York Mets. I also enjoy going to the movies and playing video games with my friends.

What is something most people don't know about you?

It is always a fun conversation when someone finds out I am colorblind. It tough to explain to them and it's fun to see the questions they ask. At this point, I think I've heard them all.

What advice do you have for prospective MK candidates?

I would tell them not to be afraid of not knowing the answer to everything. Dive head first into unknown waters and at the end of the day you will feel accomplished.
