How did you find out about MK Decision and what drew you to the company initially?
I saw the listing for an TFE (Time For Experience) position. I expressed my interest because I was trying to switch careers into becoming a programmer.
What motivates you to get up and go to work?
I think it’s good to have structure to your life which helps you be motivated on other aspects outside of it. Being at MK, it’s definitely a fun environment to be a part of.
How would you describe the culture at MK?
We’re all friendly but we are also serious when we need to be, so it’s a good balance. We also have a good time interacting with each other inside or outside of work.
How has MK Decision helped you in your career development?
It has helped me in the sense that I was unsure about becoming a programmer. So, getting my first job at MK and being able to experience different type of technologies, helped me solidify my goals and confirm that this is the right path for me. I have fun while at work and enjoy what I do.
What has been your favorite project while working with MK Decision?
The first project I’ve had to work on which was building the Credit Card Origination System. In the beginning when they pitched the idea and specs about CCOS, I thought the project wasn’t going to be achievable, mainly because I was new at the time. Once it was completed, it was satisfying to see that it was achievable!
How do you like to balance your life at home and life at work?
I hang out with my friends and we enjoy going out to the movies, eating, and playing board games. I also like having my own time. So for that, I enjoy reading. Harry Potter is my favorite series.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I participated in a fundraiser where I had to stand up and dance for 26 hours!
What advice do you have for prospective MK candidates?
Have self motivation, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well with other people.
