Job Description

Our Sales Engineer team combines industry knowledge, software expertise, and superior customer service to ensure each partnership is successful. The Sales Engineer works with executives, managers, employees, and clients throughout their relationship cycles. The Sales Engineer must have expert knowledge on our products, and be able to effectively communicate those products with our clients. We are seeking a self-driven individual, who has exceptional interpersonal skills. You should enjoy building teams and working on high-value projects.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Technical Sales
    • Generate high-quality sales leads and follow up after initial meeting
    • Recommend, promote and quote applicable systems to satisfy customer requirements
    • Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences (as required).
    • Manage technical sales related tasks as needed, such as developing sales support documents and software demonstrations
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Product Development
    • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients
    • Collaborate with third parties for API integrations to fulfill client’s technical requirements
    • Collaborate with Software Developers to ensure clients technical requirements are met
    • Contribute to product current and future product requirements and enhancements by providing feedback based on real-world experience with our products and customers.
    • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Prospect and develop new customers who are a good fit for MK.
    • Identify, analyze, and assess customers’ needs.
    • Provide all customers with quality service in accordance with company guidelines
    • Provide the client with technical product training and sales support.
    • Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels
    • Ensure client retention via responsive and proactive account management support
  • Strategic Planning
    • Coordinate with marketing to develop strategies with your technical expertise and application experiences
    • Create new sales and marketing strategies that target B2B customers and positions our products as the best solutions for prospective clients
    • Perform market research, assist in identifying new markets, clients, partners and competitors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently, as well as work well with others
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., well-spoken, clear voice, and able to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value points to customers)
  • Is proficient with G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Has tenacity and drive to help our customers find success
  • Will be easily accessible to our customers
  • Demonstrable leadership skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CMS) system
  • Has prior experience at a growth stage internet or software company
