Job Description

Our Sales team combines industry knowledge, software expertise, and superior customer service to ensure each partnership is successful. The Sales team works with executives, project managers, and customers throughout the lifecycle of the relationship.

You will be responsible for the growth and retention of MK’s customers. The Sales Representatives identify opportunities for our customers to get the most out of MK by quickly understanding customers’ needs, managing upsell and renewal opportunities, and driving end-to-end campaigns to increase adoption of MK’s offering. The Sales Rep must learn to be an expert of our products, and be able to effectively communicate those products with potential customers.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Contact banks and credit unions through outbound calls and emails
  • Meet outbound call, email, and appointment-setting quotas
  • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our customers
  • Manage customer relations
    • Schedule meetings with qualified points of contact
    • Record contact information and notes from phone calls and emails
    • Solicit, log, and evaluate customer feedback in digital platforms
    • Generate high-quality sales leads and follow up after initial meeting
    • Ensure customer retention via responsive and proactive account management support
    • Provide all customers with quality service in accordance with company guidelines
  • Prospect and develop new MK customers
    • Create new sales and marketing strategies to target B2B customers
    • Perform market research; assist in identifying new markets, customers, partners, and competitors)
    • Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences (as required)
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services
  • Assist with administrative sales-related tasks
  • Contribute to current and future product requirements and enhancements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Has prior experience in a customer-facing role
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrable leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed and able to work independently, as well as work well with others
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g. well-spoken, clear voice, and able to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value points to customers)
  • Is proficient with G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Has tenacity and drive to help our customers find success
  • Will be easily accessible to our customers

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Is located in San Diego
  • Has the ability to travel
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for sales tracking
  • Bachelor’s degree
